Benefits coverage

GENERAL SOLAR PV ALSO OFFERS A NUMBER OF BENEFITS FOR THE ROOF, ITS STRUCTURE AND THE DURABILITY OF THE WATERPROOFING.

Lightweight system: less than 7.5 kg/sq m, against at least 32 kg/sq m in a system with rigid panels.
The roof is not affected by unforeseen loads (including ballasts - see photo) in the event of installation on existing buildings.
For new projects, it is not necessary to increase the size of the structures to fit heavy systems, which results in lower costs. The installation of General SOLAR PV does not involve drilling any holes on the roof to anchor the supporting structures as required by traditional systems.
No holes are required to fix the cable channel either (see system components - stud bolts). The waterproofing is in no way compromised and there is no need for troublesome connections between metal structures and waterproofing membranes, which guarantees the whole system is 100% waterproof over time. No supporting structures means there is no dangerous "sail" effect, which affects the roof itself over time, as it is subjected to great stress.
Moreover, it is possible to walk on General SOLAR PV both during installation and, if needed, even later, as well as conducting maintenance work on other rooftop systems.

In the pictures above, examples of compromised waterproofing on a roof with traditional rigid mounting system.
